Absolutely beautiful hotel with a gorgeous view. Food was excellent and the service was perfect. Such a welcoming host who arranged a safari for us which was a fraction of the price of all the other safari services and the same quality. They grow many plants in their garden so you are eating locally.

Mailagama Cinnamon Plantation, started in 2013 and not only introduced a new economy to our village, also commenced many social services to the village.
In the face of the Corona epidemic and during the difficult economic situation they have been helping villagers to build houses, providing financial support for educational materials, and tutoring classes to children from very poor families. In addition, distributing dry rations for poor villagers, providing medical supplies to the Kataragama hospital, and medicines for very poor villagers are other social services provided by the institution. This institution is a great asset to this village.

Cinnamon Residence & Plantation
Mailagama is a remote village in Kataragama where villagers live very difficult lives. Agriculture and trade are the main means of livelihood for the villagers. Mailagama Cinnamon Plantation is like a heavy shower that poured on the parched soil of our village.
Nearly 15-20 families in the area are dependent on this institution. This institution showed my village that agriculture can be developed to export crops. I consider the MCR as a gift given to us by God Kataragama.
