A beautiful place immersed in nature, surrounded by rice paddies and various plantations, including cinnamon. The very kind manager will show you around with a great explanation, very interesting about the local culture. Excellent food and breakfast.

This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residency, and once again, the stay was truly beyond our expectations! The staff are absolutely wonderful — so friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The food was amazing as well, and we genuinely enjoyed every meal. 🍽️✨ What we love most about Mylagam is the calm and peaceful environment. It’s such a beautiful place to slow down, relax, and enjoy nature. 🌿 And of course, the peacocks and the beautiful paddy feild scenery are one of my favourite things about staying here! 🦚☘️ The treehouse is another personal favourite — such a lovely and unique touch that makes the whole experience even more special. We had another wonderful stay and would happily come back again. A big thank you to the entire Mailagama Cinnamon Residence team for the warm hospitality and for making our stay so memorable. 5/5 without a doubt! Highly recommended!

We had a truly lovely stay at Mailagama Cinnamon Residence in Kataragama. Set amidst farmland, the property offers a peaceful sense of natural beauty and serenity that made it such a special place to unwind. The rooms were immaculately clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Everything felt well cared for, and the overall atmosphere was calm and restorative. What really made the stay memorable, though, was the warmth and hospitality. The owners we met were so welcoming, and Mr. Inbaraj, the manager, was especially helpful throughout our stay. He kindly took us on a guided walk through the surrounding gardens, shared recommendations about local attractions, and helped us arrange our safari to Yala. His team was wonderful as well. The food was another highlight — dinner was delicious and excellent value, and they also thoughtfully packed breakfast for us to take on safari, which we really appreciated. As native Sri Lankans, this stay genuinely felt like coming home. It was such a grounding, peaceful place to unplug, and we’re already looking forward to returning and spending a couple more days here in the future.

Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a very nice place to stay, surrounded by a beautiful location with a great view. The peaceful setting makes it a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Raj is a wonderful host—very kind and welcoming. The food was very good, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. A highlight of the stay was Raj taking the time to explain the house farming process, including how they grow cinnamon, spices, and vegetables. It added a special and authentic touch to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm stay with great hospitality and local insight.
